“Award Winning Fine Dining” at South Downs College Restaurant

Wednesday, 11 February 2009 at 6:30pm.
College Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO7 8AA 02392 797979
Many of the Colleges in our area run a training restaurant to give the students “real life experience” as a part of their professional catering programme. Members who attended will remember the exceptional dining experience at Southampton College in March 2007.
South Downs College have created a luxury restaurant environment to reflect the excellent standard of cuisine prepared and served by their students under the direction of their highly qualified and experienced Chef Lecturers. To obtain trade experience students are placed in some of the country’s top kitchens including the Royal Household, the Fat Duck, the Paternoster Chop House and Morano in Mayfair. All their food is freshly prepared using the best ingredients which are locally sourced with care for environmental factors. The restaurant has won the College Restaurant of the Year Award for London and the South twice in the last three years. Both Gerry Shurman, Head of Hospitality, and Kerry Mansfield, Restaurant Manager, are enthusiastic about our visit which promises to be a truly unique and memorable dining experience.
