Solent Celebration Dinner at The Earl of March

We are especially pleased to have been invited by Giles Thompson, our recently joined MaÎtre Rôtisseur, and owner of the Earl of March Country Pub Restaurant to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a Gaelic Dinner.
Giles has a remarkable history and experience with Haute Cuisine, as he was formerly the Executive Chef at the Ritz Hotel in London’s Piccadilly for five years before moving to the Cordon Bleu Cookery Academy in London as Head of School. Earlier he had trained under the renowned Michel Boudin at the Connaught before moving to Danesfield House, in Buckinghamshire, where he gained 2 AA rosettes. He purchased the Earl of March in July 2007, and has established a fine reputation locally for cooking simple dishes from fresh, local, regional wild and organic produce.
However for the St. Patrick’s dinner, he has designed a special Irish menu for us, and his colleague Alistaire Gibbson, who is the wines writer for the Portsmouth News, has selected excellent wines to complement this special menu.
There is ample parking at the Restaurant, which is located to the right of Midhurst Road (A286) in mid Lavant approaching from Chichester. Also, conveniently located right opposite is a privately owned B&B-“Rooks Hill”, where Ron and Lin Allen will be delighted to accept an overnight room booking, which includes Breakfast for £100. 6 rooms are available.
